Imagination Activity Guides: Radio Play
Radio Play Script for The Little Mermaid
Feel free to edit and change as you see fit. This is meant to be a guild/jumping off point to get you started. You can do the whole radio play yourself or ask some classmates/family members or friends to help you.
Sound Effect Suggestions
Water- I recommend filling a water bottle with water- make sure the lid is on tight and shake it to make water sounds or fill a large pot half way with water and make small, gentle splashing sounds
Walking/Dancing- I recommend putting a shoe on each hand and patting them on the ground as though they are walking.
Heart Beat- I recomend cupping your hand and tapping it against your sternum (centre of chest) 6 times.
Rain- I recommend begin with running your hands together then snap several times then clap loudly.
Fire- I recommend crinkiling a candy wrapper or bubble wrap or tissue wrapping papper.
Music- I recommend singing or humming a song you know.
Magic- You can really do anything to make magic. I recommend shouting "Poof" or do a raspberry with your mouth, there really is no wrong answer.
